Responsibilities

  • Operations Manager is directly responsible for managing and controlling of designated account and contracts, building relationships within these accounts with a view to maximizing Weatherford business opportunities, working with the Business Development (BD) and operations team on specific projects as necessary. Interface between onshore/offshore support team and customer. 
  • Ensure OEPS requirements are understood and fulfilled by the PL personnel & that PL operates in line with Weatherford OEPS Policy. 
  • Identifies and assess resources required to serve client’s current and future needs. 
  • Prepare equipment lists and liaise with Operations Supervisors and offshore staff to maintain the delivery of a high quality service to the client, utilizing Management of Change (MOC) process if and when required. 
  • Act as an interface between Weatherford and designated client accounts. 
  • Responsible for meeting customer deadlines.
  • Maximize the sustained profitability of the client and the company by matching the total array of the company’s technical and operational capabilities to the client’s needs. 
  • Responsible for developing a thorough knowledge of the assigned client accounts to ensure full understanding of Weatherford and clients business needs. 
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing KPI’s in relation to assigned contracts on a regular basis and reporting information to clients at quarterly reviews in conjunction with the account Manager. 
  • Responsible for developing relationships and positioning the business unit at a higher level with the client. 
  • Serve as a liaison with other members of the management team across divisions of the Weatherford Group, to maximize business opportunities for those clients 
  • Maintain and build relationship between Weatherford and assigned clients to a standard acceptable by both parties. 
  • Attend Client Meetings, Morning Calls, Pre-Spud, Drilling Well on Paper (DWP), Completing Well on Paper (CWP) and close out meetings as required. 
  • Responsible for proper response and processing / closing any product line failures occurred (complaints raised by clients or internal) as stipulated by Weatherford OEPS requirements.
  • Establish contacts with potential clients promote the company image, products and services and prepare presentations for clients 
  • Update and maintain product line procedures as required 
  • Train personnel who will follow into your position as Weatherford move forward.
  • Conducts field audits to monitor proficiency and compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Gathers and interprets service statistics and improves the safety culture into the Product Line
  • Assure MYADVISOR is fully utilized by Field personal for data entry and TOPS by maintenance team
  • Plans equipment utilization.
  • Gathers and interprets equipment utilization statistics.
  • Assists in locating assets for operations personnel.
  • Assists operations personnel in resolving asset discrepancies and helps in ordering spares.
  • Keeps up to date on new developments in tools, services, and evaluation techniques.
  • Ensures that all NCRs are followed up to closure with Root Cause Analysis.
  • Bringing on board standard operating procedures and helping with the implementation of these
  • Formalizes SQ reviews with key clients on a quarterly basis.
  • Performs internal audits and set RWP in locations and assist with their closure.
  • Ensures proper maintenance procedures are followed at the location.
  • Ensures proper and accurate reporting
  • Promotes the SQ as well as the HSE culture in the country as per the corporate guidelines.
  • Demonstrates fundamental Safety & Quality Leadership as charge of the business unit sector or product line, ensuring personal accountability across all levels
  • Implements and ensures compliance to safety process and protocols as directed by the PL and Country Structure, regularly holds / participates in safety meetings, Opportunities for Improvement and the Weatherford Safe Start program
  • Coordinates with assigned engineers and electronic technicians for the management of tool and equipment preventative maintenance, modifications and repairs, and ensures all field and workshop personnel follow preventative maintenance procedures and ensures that all NCRs are followed up to closure with Root Cause Analyses.
  • Ensures implementation to and compliance with the General Drilling Services Policy and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Evaluates the quality, proficiency and efficiency of field operations by regular well site visits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and conducts analysis of reports and log quality control
  • Participates in Annual Technical Systems Audits to ensure that Drilling Services and Country Systems are effectively implemented, such Audits will be led by a supporting authority
  • Ensures prompt and efficient reporting and administration according to Company, policies and regulations, including financial, operational and QHSSE
  • Ensures that personnel are aware of the latest developments for logging equipment, including the distribution of Operations Letters
  • Ensures that critical information on technical and safety issues is distributed throughout his change of command, making sure that regular meetings are held and document to ensure all personnel are aware of their roles and responsibilities on operational matters and the continuous improvement of the location
  • Responsible for the training, competency, development and appraisal of location staff, ensuring that engineers, operators, workshop, and clerical staff training is identified and undertaken
  • Provides assistance and guidance in the training of all levels of staff

Qualifications

  • 7+ years` relevant experience
  • Engineering degree
  • Experience as a Field Engineer with extensve experience within MPD
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent coordination and organizational skills
  • Strong inventory control knowledge
  • Strong quality control and quality assurance knowledge
  • Experience with JD Edwards
  • Experience with quality audits
  • Experience with more than other service providers would be an advantage
  • Due to Saudization you have to be a Saudi national
